Israel Supports Trump’s Aggression

By Stephen Lendman

Longstanding US and Israeli plans call for regime change in Syria and Iran, naked aggression their strategy of choice.

On Friday, unaccountable war criminal Netanyahu praised Trump’s aggression, saying “(i)n both word and action, (he) sent a strong and clear message (that) the use and spread of chemical weapons will not be tolerated.”

“Israel fully supports President Trump’s decision and hopes that this message of resolve in the face of the Assad regime’s horrific actions will resonate not only in Damascus, but in Tehran, Pyongyang and elsewhere.”

Ultranationalist Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman lied, calling the Tomahawk missile strike on Syria “an important, necessary and moral message by the free world, led by the United States.”

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin called US naked aggression a “fitting response” against Assad, “an example to the entire free world.”

Other Israeli officials made similar comments - war criminals in Tel Aviv supporting their US partners in high crimes.

Vice President Pence called Netanyahu, expressing thanks on behalf of Trump for his “strong support for the American action in Syria.”

Israel’s military was informed of the strike before its pre-dawn Friday launch. Like Obama, Trump’s aim is regime change - Syria and Iran his regional targets.

The wild card is how Russia intends responding - so far unknown other than rhetoric condemning Trump’s aggression.

It’ll take much more than that to stop it. Russian officials know. Will they act responsibly? Inaction risks far greater trouble ahead.
