US Escalates War While Talking Peace

US duplicity is longstanding. None of its rhetorical promises are credible. Consistently it says one thing, then does another.

Peace and stability are anathema to its agenda. Endless wars of aggression serve it - waged to advance its imperium. Yet Russia persists in wasting time and energy, knowing talks with America are futile, especially on conflicts like Syria.

On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin said “(o)ur agreements (with America on Syria) were undermined by the opposite side, not by us.” The same thing happens time and again.

US-led Western and regional rogue states bear full responsibility for Syria’s conflict, continuing endlessly with no prospect for resolution no matter how interminably talks continue.

Irreconcilable East/West differences make resolving things unattainable - especially with militantly anti-Russia Hillary’s almost certain ascension to power in January.

More talks scheduled for Saturday in Lausanne, Switzerland won’t fare better than earlier. Reportedly Sergey Lavrov and John Kerry will be joined by foreign ministers from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran.

They’ll discuss ways “to create conditions for the settlement of the Syrian crisis,” according to a statement announcing the meeting. On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with his German and French counterparts. A Kremlin statement said the following:

“The three leaders discussed the situation in Ukraine, in particular, the prospects for further international assistance to resolve the internal Ukrainian conflict through strict implementation of the Minsk Agreements of February 12, 2015.”

“The Russian President stressed that these agreements are the only basis for settling the crisis.”

“The leaders agreed to step up consultations in various formats.
They also exchanged views on the Syrian conflict and noted the importance of coordinating the international community’s efforts in the fight against the terrorist threat.”

“Vladimir Putin expressed hope that the Lausanne meeting of foreign ministers of Russia, the United States and a number of key Middle Eastern countries scheduled for October 15 would be fruitful in terms of real assistance to the Syrian conflict settlement.”

While diplomats talk, Syrians die. Things may be headed from bad from worse if an unnamed diplomatic source’s information is accurate, saying:

“More than 9,000 Daesh militants will be redeployed from Mosul (Iraq) to the eastern regions of Syria to carry out a major offensive operation, which involves capturing Dayr al-Zawr and Palmyra.”

Washington and Saudi Arabia reportedly agreed to “counter Russia’s achievement in Syria (along with) undermin(ing) Syrian President al-Assad.”

At the same time, Obama escalated war on Yemen he initiated, Saudi terror-bombing serving the interests of both countries.

According to a Pentagon announcement, cruise missile strikes were carried out against Houthi positions - on the phony pretext of “limited self-defense…to protect our personnel, our ships and our freedom of navigation…”

Radar sites were struck, perhaps additional Pentagon terror-bombing to come, increasing the deaths, injuries and misery of an entire population - victims of US imperial viciousness, like Syrians, Iraqis, Libyans, Afghans and millions of others worldwide.

No nation ever caused more harm to more people over a longer duration than America - at home and abroad. None more threaten world peace, stability and security.
