Another Billionaire Joins Trump’s Team

His administration is run by billionaires, Goldman Sachs and hawkish generals.

They exclusively serve their own interests at the expense of world peace, equity and justice, anathema notions in Washington under both right wings of its duopoly governance.

Entrepreneur, financier, hedge-fund co-managing partner, Export-Import Bank senior vice president, Goldman Sachs alum Anthony Scaramucci was named White House Assistant to the President and Communications Director.

During the presidential campaign, he initially supported Jeb Bush, later switched allegiance to Trump when he became the clear frontrunner.

He joined his finance committee, served on his transition team executive committee. Last January, he sold his SkyBridge investment firm to a Chinese bank for $11.5 billion.

He reportedly has a net worth of $1.5 billion. In 2011, he received the Ernst & Young entrepreneur of the year award. He spoke at earlier Davos, Switzerland World Economic Forums - nicknamed the billionaire’s ball.

In 2016, Worth magazine ranked him 85th among the 100 most powerful people in global finance.

As White House communications director, he’ll be responsible for developing and promoting Trump’s agenda, including his media campaign and public addresses.

His appointment needs no Senate confirmation. In 1969 under Richard Nixon, the office was established, Herbert Klein its first director.

The position requires working closely with White House press and cabinet-level secretaries - representing the president’s worldview with a consistent message.

With the importance of online communications, present-day dissemination of information has more ways to present the president’s agenda than decades earlier.

Shortly after his announced appointment, White House press secretary Sean Spicer resigned - reportedly for not wishing to work with Scaramucci, tweeting as follows:

“It's been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS @realDonaldTrump & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August.”

Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was named to replace him. She’s former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s daughter.

She worked on national political campaigns and others for Arkansas federal office positions before joining the Trump administration.

She was national political director for her father’s 2008 presidential campaign.
