Celente Releases Top Trends For 2015

KINGSTON, N.Y., 9 December 2014 ó Global forecaster Gerald Celente and his Trends Research Institute today released a special digital edition of the Trends Journal dedicated to the institute's forecast of the Top Trends for 2015. Featuring analyses by Celente, economist Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, business journalist Nomi Prins, science writer Bennett Davis and other experts, the special edition explores nine dynamic trend lines that will have far-reaching bottom line impact and will affect quality of life in 2015.

This special digital edition is published in addition to the regular print/digital winter magazine, which will be released in January. "As my analysts and I developed our 2015 forecast, we came to believe many of these trend lines will hit hard and fast as the new year unfolds," said Celente. "We wanted to provide an early look at the enormous risks and opportunities ahead. With more analysts at the table this year, our forecasts encompass subjects and emerging trend lines you won't read about anywhere else."
 
The institute's forecasts for 2015 were unveiled during a day-long conference at its 1774 Academy building in Kingston, N.Y. on Saturday, Dec. 6. The event was videotaped, and will be made available on Dec. 10.
 
"This was the first time we presented our Top Trends in front of a live audience," said Derek Osenenko, the institute's chief executive officer. "It was a huge success."
 
The top trends for 2015 are:

The Grand Manipulation: The mechanisms of sound economics are being subverted to favor the wealthy and powerful.
Bankism: Capitalism is on the brink as Bankism is fast becoming the dominant global economic system.
Price Wars: Too much product and not enough demand give rise to a new age of retail marketing.
Dominant Energy: A new era for new energy explodes as dependency on fossil fuels lessens, global demand declines and the availability of alternative energy sources rises at an historic pace.
Selfie Journalism: Local news may never be the same as big media chains consolidate and downsize; upstarts will be needed to fill wide coverage gaps.
Artful Aging: An age wave is growing across the globe, and it is rich with untapped potential for businesses that focus on quality, creativity and old-school values.
Retrograde 2.0: It's beauty or bust as a return to individualism and the higher standards for quality and craftsmanship of past eras ignite opportunities for entrepreneurs to reach Millennials.
Takeover: Monopoly is the new normal. The latest trade pact, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, ensures that the bottom line trumps quality, choice and morality.
War Weary: Is the populace ready to fight for peace? Itís time to finally turn the tide of endless war and bring more prosperity to the world, but is anyone listening?
