Hell Hath No Fury Like NYT Anti-Trump Rage

The self-styled newspaper of record wages daily war on Trump, inventing reasons to bash him, featuring vicious ad hominem attacks, largely ignoring what most warrants criticism.

The latest example claims he “fail(s) all the tests of the presidency,” saying:

“We are leaderless. America doesn’t have a president. America has a man in the White House holding the spot, and wreaking havoc as he waits for the day when a real president arrives to replace him.”

Fact: The Times praised the deplorable leadership of the Clinton co-presidency, Bush/Cheney and Obama.

Fact: For the past eight years preceding Trump, it largely served as Obama’s press agent, extolling what demanded condemnation, disgracefully calling him “a rock of familiarity and stability and strength” days before leaving office.

Fact: Throughout the 2015-16 presidential campaign, it bashed Trump relentlessly, deplorably calling war goddess, racketeer, perjurer Hillary “one of
the most broadly and deeply qualified presidential candidates in modern history.”

It turned truth on its head about the most ruthlessly dangerous president aspirant in US history. It never forgave Trump for defeating her, waging daily war on his presidency for revenge, pure spite for political reasons instead of legitimate criticism alone.

The Times: “Donald Trump is many things - most of them despicable - but the leader of a nation he is not. He is not a great man. Hell, he isn’t even a good man.”

He’s “a man of flawed character and a moral cavity. He cannot offer moral guidance because he has no moral compass. He is too small to see over his inflated ego.”

Fact: I deplore Trump’s domestic and geopolitical agenda, writing numerous articles criticizing him - focusing on policies, not ad hominem attacks - a NYT specialty.

The Times: Trump’s “interests center on the self; country be damned…The presidency is revealing the essence of the man and that essence is dark.”

“What America saw clearly in Trump’s disastrous handling of the violence in Charlottesville was a Nazi/white nationalist apologist if not sympathizer, a reactionary rage-aholic…

Fact: Most leaders everywhere are self-serving. They have larger than life egos and outsized ambitions - why in America they endure exhausting months of campaigning, continuing a permanent campaign in office, selling their agenda to the public and world.

They serve privileged interests exclusively, especially in America, other Western societies, Israel, monarchies and other despotic regimes.

Fact: I quoted Trump’s comments on Charlottesville. He correctly blamed both sides for unacceptable violence. The Times calling him a “Nazi/white nationalist apologist” ignored what he said - part of its gratuitous bashing.

The Times: “By claiming that there were some ‘very fine people’ among the extremists marching in Charlottesville, the president made a profound declaration: The accommodation of racists is his creed.”

Fact: His immigration policy, border wall project, and separate travel ban indeed are racist, targeting Latinos and Muslims from designated countries.

Fact: Most demonstrators in Charlottesville on both sides of the political spectrum were nonviolent. A minority on both sides caused trouble - the way it usually is when protests or marches get out-of-hand.

Fact: James Fields mowing down people didn’t reflect what others in Charlottesville might have done if not him. He alone is responsible for his criminal act - some others on the extreme right and left for lesser forms of violence.

The Times: Trump “defend(ed) the demons” - a bald-faced lie.

The Times: “America is functioning, barely, without a functioning president. Trump is failing every test of the office.”

The measure of America is its longstanding deplorable agenda, waging endless wars of aggression, serving privileged interests exclusively, harming the public welfare, cracking down hard on nonbelievers, tolerating no resistance.

The issue isn’t Trump. It’s the deplorable bipartisan-supported system - lawless, rapacious, predatory, fantasy democracy, not the real thing.

Not a word from The Times on all of the above, what matters most ignored.

The deplorable record of the self-styled newspaper of record supports what demands condemnation, its longstanding editorial policy a voice for America’s rich and powerful - bashing Trump because he won and Hillary lost.
