Obama Demagoguery in Cuba |

| Obama’s addresses make painful listening, exclusively featuring deception
- beginning-to-end propaganda, a litany of misinformation and Big Lies,
truth and full disclosure systematically shunned. He began by hyping what happened in Brussels, calling it terrorism, despite no verifiable proof suggesting it, saying “we must be together…in fighting (its) scourge” - without explaining the real state-sponsored threat, the only one that matters. He disingenuously “offer(ed) the Cuban people el saludo de paz (the greeting of peace) - a duplicitous gesture by a warrior president waging endless wars of aggression, peace, stability and respect for the sovereignty of all nations defeating his agenda. Claiming he came to Cuba “to bury the last remnant of the Cold War in the Americas” belies longstanding US policy to replace all independent governments with puppet regimes Washington controls. Endless US imperial wars raging in multiple theaters expose its real agenda, along with destabilizing, anti-democratic color revolutions. Washington wants Cuba recolonized, its resources plundered, its people exploited, favoring US corporate interests like in America. Claiming “the United States and Cuba are like two brothers who’ve been estranged for many years even as we share the same blood” was laughable for Cubans watching his televised address before a hand-picked audience - assuring applause approval, likely by out-of-sight prompters, a theatrical production, not a genuine message, urging normalized relations after over half a century of hostility. Obama’s addresses follow the same pattern, avoiding hard truths, substituting misinformation. Claiming Cuban policy “emphasize(s) the role and rights of the state (compared to America) founded upon the rights of the individual” turned truth on its head. Cuba serves all its people equitably, providing social benefits Americans can’t imagine - a nation “founded upon (and for) the rights of” its privileged class exclusively, half its population impoverished or bordering it, police state harshness targeting nonbelievers. Thousands of political prisoners alone attest to its barbarity, languishing in the world’s largest gulag, one its harshest, supplemented by global torture prisons. Cubans live free from repression, individual rights respected, both countries ideologically worlds apart - one supporting peace, equity and justice, the other waging endless wars on humanity. Obama claiming he “believe(s) in the Cuban people” belies horrific US state terrorism on a global scale. Saying he called on Congress to lift the embargo ignored its lawless imposition and his ability as head of state to rescind it with a stroke of his pen. He could have done it on day one in office along with ordering Guantanamo’s closure and returning sovereign Cuban territory to its rightful owner. Instead, dirty business as usual will continue long after he’s left office. As long as Washington seeks unchallenged world dominance, normalized relations are pure fantasy.
