Saudi Crown Prince Awarded
France’s Highest Honor

Saudi Arabia is a family dictatorship masquerading as a nation-state.

It’s one of the world’s most tyrannical regimes, infamous for public beheadings and whippings, as well as numerous other high crimes.

Torture and physical abuse are commonplace. So are arbitrary arrests, along with denial of fundamental human and civil rights.

State terror is official regime policy internally and abroad. So is religious extremism, Wahhabi clerics enforcing their theofascist interpretation of Islam. Shias are considered heretics.

Saudi tyrants want Shia Iran and Syria replaced by totalitarian Sunni dominance, Hezbollah eliminated in Lebanon.

ISIS, Al Qaeda and likeminded terrorist groups represent Wahhabi extremism.

Riyadh partners with America’s imperial wars, supplies ISIS and other terrorist groups with arms, chemical weapons and other material support.

Saudi rulers are among the world’s most ruthless, a crime family posing as legitimate governance - tolerating no opposition to their tyrannical rule.

Since March 2011, they’ve waged US-orchestrated terror-bombing and blockade of Yemen, slaughtering mostly civilians, committing genocide, millions of people at risk.

Last June, its UN ambassador in Geneva, Faisal bin Hassan Trad, was quietly chosen head of a five-member UN Human Rights Council panel, charged with reporting on abuses worldwide - mocking the legitimacy of the initiative.

HRC is a sham operation, serving US-led NATO interests. Former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay (2008 - 2014) was a reliable imperial tool.

France partners in all US wars of aggression. During his visit to Paris last Friday, President Francois Hollande quietly awarded Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Nayef France’s Legion d’Honneur, its highest award, established by Napoleon in May 1802.

The Saudi news agency SPA said it was for his “efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism” - a shocking perversion of truth.

Angry social media criticism followed, many tweets featuring the hashtag “honte (shame).”

On Sunday, Riyadh carried out its 70th execution this year, a public beheading. Saudi tyrants lop off more heads than ISIS.
