Saudi High Crimes in Yemen

Endless US-orchestrated Saudi war on Yemen caused famine, untreated illnesses, and since April a massive cholera outbreak.

The country’s land, sea and airspace are blocked, preventing enough humanitarian from reaching millions at risk of perishing without it.

Saudi terror-bombing of US/UK-selected targets include residential areas, hospitals, schools, refugee camps, food storage areas, mosques, marketplaces, and other nonmilitary sites - high crimes against peace, massacring civilians in cold blood, atrocities committed with impunity.

On Saturday, Saudi warplanes terror-bombed a marketplace in northern Yemen’s Sadaa province near the border separating both countries, massacring at least 25 civilians, injuring others.

Paramedics trying to reach the scene were targeted and killed, a tactic Israel used in three wars on Gaza since December 2008 - preventing or limiting medical workers from helping victims, compounding the high crime of naked aggression.

According to Saada Health Department’s Dr. Abdelilah al-Azzi, “(r)escue teams were unable to reach the area for some time for fear of being hit by” Saudi cross-border shelling.

America and Israel consider civilians legitimate targets in their aggressive wars. Washington denies what Israel admits. Riyadh operates the same way, its US-orchestrated and supported war taking a devastating toll on the country.

Last October, Saudi terror-bombing of a Sanaa funeral ceremony massacred over 140 people, injuring more than 500 others. In March last year, an airstrike on a marketplace killed nearly 100 civilians.

The Yemeni casualty count is unknown, likely multiples more than officially reported - deliberately understated to conceal the horror of what’s ongoing.

Genocide haunts the country, the region’s poorest during normal times. According to UNICEF, a Yemeni child under age five dies every 10 minutes from starvation alone. Humanitarian crisis conditions affect the vast majority of the country’s population.

Endless war and blockade are responsible. Instead of ordering a halt to the carnage, the Trump administration escalated conflict in all US war theaters on the phony pretext of combating terrorism Washington supports.
