LeWinter is the man who was arrested for allegedly trying to sell "forged
documents" to Mohammed Al Fayed, the father of Dodi Fayed who was
killed with Princess Diana.

appears that the documents he was trying to sell to Al Fayed were not forgeries
after all.

- On April 22, 1998. 68 years old George
Mearah was arrested in Vienna, Austria by the FBI, the CIA and the Austrian
Security Police. The official reason for the arrest was the attempted extortion
of millions of dollars from the father of Dodi Al Fayad.

- A statement from Harrods, (owned by the
father of Dodi Fayed), said: "The case follows a two week enquiry
by Mr MacNamara, Harrod's Director of Security, in Washington and Vienna,
into allegations that British Intelligence sought the help of the CIA in
a plot to assassinate Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed.

- "Working with the full cooperation
of law enforcement authorities in the United States and Austria, Mr. MacNamara
was also investigating the alleged existence of documentary evidence of
such a plot.

- "There are no further details at
present as enquiries are continuing in the United States and further charges
are anticipated."

- A quick reading of the short story, which
was carried by AP, UPI and AOL UK, seemed to point to a bumbling attempt
by an Austrian, living in the United States, to extort money from Mohammed
Al Fayad, in exchange for classified intelligence documents purporting
to show a conspiracy between British Intelligence and the CIA, to murder
Princess Diana.

- An interesting statement made by the
Kurier newspaper in Vienna said, "Mearah showed two documents at the
Vienna meeting which had appeared genuine and proved Mr. Fayed's theory
that the Establishment was trying to block Dodi from marrying Diana because
he would become the step-father of a future king."

- A closer reading of the article raises
many questions. The first being, if the documents are phony, then why are
the FBI and the CIA involved. If extortion was taking place on Austrian
soil, committed by a Austrian, who was targeting a European citizen, why
are the United States intelligence and investigative agencies and bureaus
involved? Which, if any, United States laws were broken?

- Upon rereading the article a third time,
a veiled reference to where the documents came from was discovered, IE,
from inside the United States intelligence community. Could the purported
extortionist have stolen these documents from one or the other of the United
States intelligence units? And if he did, how could a bumbling outsider
have accomplished this feat?

- If, indeed the documents which Mr. Mearah
was trying to sell to Mohammed Al Fayad were stolen from the United States
intelligence agencies and bureaus, then the reason for the U.S. involvement
becomes clear. From second and third hand reports, coming from unnamed
Sources in French Intelligence, the purloined documents appear to have
originated with British Intelligence, (MI-6). The document appears to be
seeking the cooperation of the CIA in the "neutralization" of
Princess Diana,

- The story, as reported by the wire services,
left a lot out. According to an unnamed French Source, there is far more
to the story than is being revealed. The French source believes that the
whole operation is an attempt to "surface" documents which will
expose the murder plot which was cooked up by British Intelligence.

- An investigative reporter, living in
Northern California, confirms the French source and adds additional information.
According to the California Source, units from Navy Intelligence, Faction
2, appear to be involved in the attempt to surface these documents. This
piece of information confirms reports we have received regarding known
member of Faction 2, such as Gunther Russbacher, Oswald LeWinter and others
whose names cannot be named, but who have recently faded back into the
shadow world, as if they have been called back to work, or as they say
it in the game, "...gone operational."

- According to the article about the extortion
of Mohammed Al Fayad, the subject was arrested by the FBI and Austrian
Police. An Austrian newspaper was given copies of the documents. The documents
purport to show that British Intelligence tried to enlist the CIA in the
murder of Diana. The CIA flatly denies any involvement in her murder. The
CIA is now in possession of documents which state that British Intelligence
had been ordered by someone to "neutralize' Diana. * * * * *

An article written by "Ru Mills" (pseudonym for Rayelan Allan)
and published in Conspiracy Nation (CN 12.08) gave details on the arrest
of a "George Mearah" (apparently also known as Oswald LeWinter)
for allegedly trying to sell top secret CIA documents to Mohamed Al-Fayed,
father of Dodi Al-Fayed who died with Princess Diana in a suspicious car
crash on August 31, 1997. This development was covered in several wire
service and some newspaper reports. For example: "A man was arrested
in a hotel lobby in Vienna as he tried to sell documents to Mohamed Al
Fayed that allegedly proved that his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales,
were murdered." (Electronic Telegraph, 4/30/98) "The suspect,
a 67-year-old man whose name was withheld, had been peddling documents
which purported to be evidence of a supposed murder plot, by implication
involving British and U.S. intelligence." (Reuters, 4/29/98) A further
update on the situation was reportedly broken on May 14, 1998, in a story
appearing in the London Mirror newspaper. The Mirror apparently included
one of the purported secret papers in its May 14th edition. Here is an
excerpt from the blockbuster story: Mr. [Mohamed] Fayed believes the Diana
papers, said to originate from the US Central Intelligence Agency, back
his conviction that the British establishment masterminded a conspiracy
against his son and the Princess. Mr. Al Fayed said yesterday, "I
intend to establish the truth behind the tragic events in Paris last August.".
MI6 Director David Spedding is named in one telex and a squad from the
Israeli secret service Mossad, referred to as the "K-Team", appears
in another. [The documents] were seized in an Vienna hotel room three weeks
ago when Mr. Al Fayed's security chief, backed by two FBI agents, met a
middleman who was demanding 10 million (Pound Sterling) for them. The intermediary,
67 year old Oswald LeWinter, was arrested and is now in solitary confinement
in a Vienna police cell."

- Editor's Note: There is no way to prove
the above document is real. According to an intelligence source, the document
was intercepted by Division 5, the FBI counter intelligence unit in NYC.
The Source said the documents were stolen from Division 5 by a team made
up of "Faction 2" operatives. LeWinter was part of the team,
in a need-to-know-basis, as the intermediary. The purpose of the operation
was to "surface" the documents. LeWinter is serving a two year
sentence in Austria. He was the only member of the "Team" that
was arrested. It appears he was "expendable". In a letter received
from Oswald LeWinter dated January 8, 1999, LeWinter called the Vienna
incident an "off-the-shelf" "Company" operation. It
appears LeWinter was set up to take the fall in an operation designed to
"surface" the "Diana Murder Documents." According to
LeWinter's letter, it appears the operation was planned long before LeWinter's
involvement: "At my trial, Al Fayed's security chief testified that
my arrest was planned in D.C. by CIA and FBI a month before. At the time
of my arrest, I was shown documents which were found in my hotel room.
I had not seen them until then, since another member of the team in Vienna
had given them to me the night before. I had a choice at my arrest to identify
the documents as genuine or as fakes. If I said genuine I would face charges
in the U.S. of high treason... so I said they were forgeries and was arrested
for Fraud." LeWinter further states: "The true facts, about the
murder of Diana, would shake the World to its foundations, since it involves
a number of governments and more than a number of intelligence services."

phony information about a conspiracy to kill Diana, Princess of Wales and
his son Dodi has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

- Oswald LeWinter, 67, was found guilty
of attempted fraud by a court in Vienna, Austria, but was acquitted of
issuing a dangerous threat. He will only serve 30 months because he has
been in jail since May. Wanted $20m/ LeWinter, a former CIA agent, who
has both American and Israeli citizenship, had pleaded guilty to charges
of trying to sell the Egyptian-born tycoon fake documents for $20m.

- The threat charge arose after he was
alleged to have threatened to kill Mr al-Fayed's chief bodyguard, John
MacNamara, following his arrest in May. LeWinter claimed he had documents
which showed that the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and Mr al-Fayed's
son Dodi in a car crash in the Place de l'Alma tunnel 14 months ago were
part of a conspiracy organised by the CIA and the British secret service.

- Arrested in sting operation/ He was arrested
in April at a hotel in Vienna where he had arranged to meet with one of
Mr al-Fayed's representatives. LeWinter, who had already received $25,000
from Mr Al Fayed, admitted the documents were bogus and said he had five
accomplices. Mr al-Fayed, who was in court to hear LeWinter jailed, said
he wanted him severely punished.

- Afterwards Mr al-Fayed said he remained
convinced that the crash which killed his son, the princess and driver
Henri Paul was part of a plot. He said: "In my heart, always I say:
it is a plot, it is not an accident. 'Unanswered questions'/ "There
are so many questions which have to be answered. The truth will come out
. . .if people think they are more powerful than God, then they are mistaken."
Mr al-Fayed, who accused LeWinter of trying to "cash in on his grief",
said he would still pay for documents proving a conspiracy but not as much
as $20m.

- Various conspiracy theories have circulated
since the accident on 31 August last year. Some suggest the couple were
killed because the British establishment feared the heir to the throne
having a Muslim stepfather. Le Winter's lawyer, Elmar Kresbacher, said
his client had been made a "scapegoat" and he said several of
his accomplices were being investigated in the US.

tell you a little was an off-the shelf "company" operation. At
my trial, Al Fayed's security chief testified that my arrest was planned

At the time of my arrest, I was shown documents which were found in my
hotel room. I had not seen them until then since another member of the
team in Vienna had given then to me the night before. (The police found
no fingerprints of mine on the papers.) I had a choice at my arrest to
identify the documents as genuine or as fakes. If I said genuine I would
face charges in the U.S. of high treason. I said they were forgeries and
was arrested for Fraud, tried and found guilty despite the evidence of
entrapment.

- The other team members, one a high ranking
"suit" in the agency, all escaped. It appears as though he was
part of a plot to get me since a senior FBI official in Vienna told the
newspapers that "The CIA wanted to get Le Winter out of circulation
since he was too dangerous as its former chief expert on disinformation
and had been a whistle blower for a number of years."

the whole action was directed by the FBI and that they acted under their
instructions. An FBI agent was present at my arrest, questioning and search

is as follows: The Austrian justice ministry sent a request concerning
the documents taken from my hotel to the CIA with a request concerning
their real of forged status and also requested that a government expert
be sent to testify at my trail under oath concerning the documents. The
US government waited three months before responding. Their reply stated
that the documents were "not authentic", no word about them being
forged. They also refused to send any expert to testify under oath. As
for the documents, I will ask my attorney to send you copies of same for

sent me a Christmas card in 1995. I was married to Gunther Russbacher at
the time. If you will remember, he was a guest in the same facility where
you are holding LeWinter. Many people have wondered why you sent this card
to us.

that was designed to "surface" classified CIA/FBI documents.
These documents have to do with the murder of Princess Diana.
